About

Through the voices of children and teens living with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), this video gives teachers and others a better understanding of how arthritis affects students. It also offers suggestions for how to make school a friendlier and more welcoming place for someone living with JIA.

Workflow

Gillian Taylor, a clinical nurse in Rheumatology at Montreal Children’s Hospital, knew the challenges children living with JIA face daily at school. She came to Picture This with a concept and a budget… but no experience creating videos. We worked with her to turn her vision into two versions – one filmed with English-speaking children and teens, and another filmed entirely in French.
