‘Warrior Up!’ doc series premieres
Catch our new series on APTN, highlighting young Indigenous leaders.
“Warrior Up!” is our latest youth TV series, spotlighting young Indigenous changemakers from across Turtle Island. Premiering on APTN on Saturday, May 11, 2024, episodes will air weekly on Saturday mornings and be available to stream anytime on APTN lumi in Canada starting May 4. Check your local listings for exact showtimes. Additionally, the series will debut in Inuktitut later this year.
Each of the 13 half hour episodes of “Warrior Up!” shines a spotlight on inspiring youth across Turtle Island. Hosted by Anna Lambe, an Inuk from Iqaluit, Joshua Odjick from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, and Joel Oulette with ties to Cumberland House Cree and Red River Métis Nation, these three travel North America to capture the stories of amazing youth aged 15-24 who are making a difference in their communities.
From revitalizing ancient Indigenous arts to fighting to protect sacred land, from decolonizing the fashion industry to assembling ‘Blessing Bags’ to help their unsheltered neighbors, each episode of Warrior Up! follows the the inspiring actions of these young contemporary warriors.
Warrior Up! was financed with help from the Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and produced by Picture This Productions in collaboration with APTN.
