Synopsis
Arm Nation is a gripping documentary series that shatters stereotypes about arm wrestling and the people who do it. Forget the clichés of barroom bravado—this is a world of discipline, grit, and heart.
The series follows a diverse group of Indigenous men and women from across Canada who dedicate themselves to one of the world’s oldest sports. These athletes, known in the community as “pullers”, train fiercely, coach others, and compete at local, national, and international levels, with their sights set on the prestigious World Championships.
But the journey isn’t just about medals. Each episode offers an intimate look into their lives beyond the table: balancing work, raising families, confronting personal challenges, and staying rooted in culture and community. Arm Nation is a celebration of resilience, identity, and the power of sport to transform lives.
