The Common Ground Center, a non-profit, multi-age arts, education, and outdoor recreation center, wanted to up their promotional game with a three-minute video for their website and two shorter versions for Facebook and Instagram. Our challenge was to visually and emotionally sell their unique offering: a joyous multi-generational summer camp that kids, parents and even grandparents experience together.
We came up with three concepts to cram a week’s worth of activities and experiences into three minutes. The camp’s leadership chose their favourite, “A Day in the Life”, and we mapped out an action-packed two-day filming schedule for two camera teams. We then tested the rough video edits on a dozen parents who’d never heard of the camp and used their suggestions and comments to tweak the final edit to what you see here.
